Son of Sardaar 2 Review: The biggest scam going on in Bollywood these days is that of sequels. They write ‘Two’ in front of the name and sell another toffee inside the packet.
You must have noticed that as soon as remakes stopped in Bollywood, these people started attacking sequels aka part two and started disrespecting their own old films.
Another film has been added to this series, Ajay Devgan’s Son of Sardar 2, whose 3-minute long trailer has been released.
This has become Ajay Devgan’s specialty, in between movies like Singham, Drishyam, Shaitan, he also fits one or two movies like Thank God, Son of Sardar. But brother, before uploading the trailer, please watch it yourself.
Trailer Reaction: First Impressions
The public is crazy, but if you call them crazy openly, they will get angry, right? If you didn’t understand, I will tell you in detail. I didn’t think I would have to say this.
But I am missing Sonakshi Sinha the most in Son of Sardar and the trailer has also confirmed this and actually after watching the trailer it did not seem that this is the next part of the same old Son of Sardar film.
It seems like a totally new second film which has Ajay Devgan’s connection linked to it. The entire 3 minute trailer seems like a mess in which a lot was shown but there was no chance to like it.
Missing Elements from the Original
Everything ended so quickly. I didn’t feel anything. To be honest, the best part of this new trailer is the first few seconds in which scenes taken from the old film have been shown.
Neither the comedy nor the romance of its level is visible. Neither are there actors like the old film nor are there emotions like that.
Casting & Performances
The same mistake that Rohit Shetty made with Circus was repeated with Akshay in Housefull and now Ajay Devgan’s foot has also slipped at the same place.
Actors have been hired without any thought; the film seems more like an unemployment scheme than a movie.
There are so many people in the trailer but no one gets noticed. Like the teaser of Dhurandhar came in which poor Ranveer is the lead hero but Akshay Khanna stole the limelight and even R Madhavan shocked everyone.
But not a single surprise factor of that kind was seen in this trailer, only something different has been done with Deepak Dobiyal but he too has been drowned in the crowd.
Yes, it has to be accepted that the way Mrinal Thakur is presented in the South film industry, she is used in the opposite way in Hindi films.
I don’t know why this pair isn’t fitting at all. I don’t know how everything looked perfect with Sonakshi in the old film. This film seems incomplete without him.
Comparisons to Other Disappointing Sequels & Positives
The same mistake that Rohit Shetty made with Circus was repeated with Akshay in Housefull and now Ajay Devgan’s foot has also slipped at the same place.
The only thing I liked unconditionally in the trailer is Sunny Deol’s Border 2 connection. Genuine brain has been used there which made the trailer interesting even if only for a short while.
Story Spoilers and Music Comparison
By the way, did you notice that in 3 minutes these people have revealed the story of a 3 hour long film. Who is the fake mommy? Who is the real father? Nothing was left as a secret.
And how can you ignore such a big thing, friend? The music of Son of Sardaar One was composed by this hat-wearing magician. Even today I remember the songs of that film by heart.
While songs keep coming from new movies, no one would even remember their titles. If I am lying then you can interrupt me but no one can take Himesh Reshmaiya’s place.
Final Thoughts
Son of Sardaar 2 Review : Now I don’t know whether this film will be a hit at the box office because the public asks fewer questions in the name of a sequel and the tickets get sold without any content.
But it is worth asking the question, how many years have passed since this trailer? You waited for 13 years for this film. Have you been deceived, or has it turned out exactly as you thought?
Now it’s your turn, let me know what you think about this Son of Sardar 2 review in the comment section, I hope you liked this honest review with a bit of humor.
If you’d like, I can save this as a neat downloadable text or ready-to-post blog format too. Just say “Yes!” if you want that!
