Detective Ujjwalan Movie REVIEW: Malayalam cinema and suspense thriller, the longer the list gets the more perfect it gets. Once again another mind blowing movie has arrived at your doorstep and to tell you one thing honestly, the brain does not become sharp by eating almonds, it happens by watching such movies.
A detective film has been released on Netflix, in which a murder mystery has been ended with a very dangerous never seen, never thought of ending.
Very few people would have heard the name Detective Ujjwalan. That’s why the sooner you watch it, the smarter you will feel than others.
Plot Overview (Spoiler-Free)
This is a movie of exactly 2 hours 120 minutes but you won’t realize when the time passed because every scene in the movie will keep on asking questions to your mind without stopping, like in Stree Part One, men were forbidden to go out of the house in the dark of night.
Because the entire village was scared that a witch would come and take them away, only clothes would be left behind, similarly in this village, going out of the house after 6:00 PM is strictly prohibited and this rule has not been decided by the villagers but by the police themselves, how and why, come, I will explain.
Main Conflict (Part 1)
This is the story of the safest village in India, where no one has ever heard the words theft, robbery, assault etc. Someone’s dog got lost and someone’s tea had less sugar. And there is no need of police to solve all these cases.
In the village itself lives a native lion Holmes whose brain works faster than a computer. He considers the Hollywood movie man as his guru and enjoys solving complicated cases. No fees required.
You should just get respect. Now a clear deal has been reached between the police and this desi man. This will solve the cases and there will be no case file in the police file. It has become the safest village of the country. Just this free publicity becomes very costly for this village.

Main Conflict (Part 2)
When a rowdy man openly challenges the local detective and the police to stop them if they can. For the first time a high level crime occurs in the village. Murder and bloodshed and that too something someone saw happening live with his own eyes.
They stand in the middle of the fields making a ghostly face. What does scare crow say in Hindi? Biju, seeing whom alone during the day can make a person’s soul tremble. The eyewitness told that this Biju suddenly came walking on its feet and broke the head of a man from behind.
Dead Boy A dead man never lies. That’s why the thing about your head bursting is absolutely true. But how did the doll move and if it hit a person then why did it do so?

The police have no idea and Sherlock cannot believe how a murder happened in this village. Then a senior officer comes from the city and as soon as he arrives the detective’s shop is locked.
But what could have been a better welcome than that as soon as I set foot in the village, I got one murder case along with another murder case absolutely free.
That village in which no crime has happened till date. Two people have had their heads broken there within a difference of just a few hours.
And let me tell you a secret, planning for the third one is underway. Could it be that Detective Ji did all this himself by becoming Biju to make himself famous and later got a shortcut to become a hero by solving the case?
Or how and why did the new officer arrive so early? We will kill as well as save. Is there a psycho killer behind this face?
Key Characters
This is a very cute and confusing film. For 1 hour 50 minutes you will see only what the director wants to show you. Every character will be suspected, no honest person will be spared. But what will be shown to you in the last 10 minutes will never come to your mind even if you watch this film 10 times. The climax is very simple but the method of hiding it is next level.
What Makes It Special
There isn’t much bloodshed etc. in the film. But yes, the method of murder is a bit scary. Especially this scare crow idea can come even in dreams. The good thing is that there is no time pass scene in the film. No romance, no useless item dance. It is a face off between Police vs Detective in which you have to decide the winner.
